Cervical AP ( 3rd to 7th ) xray
Position of patient and cassette
Patient को bucky table पर supine लेटाया जाता हैं या यदि erect position patient की सुविधा के लिए ठीक हो तो patient के head तथा shoulders के posterior aspect को vertical Bucky के सामने रखते हुए बैठाया या खड़ा किया जाता हैं। msp को इस प्रकार adjust करते ह जिससे कि वह cassette के लम्बवत हो तथा table की midline पर हो । यदि patient की condition allow करती हैं तो गर्दन को extend करते है जिससे कि जबड़े का निचला भाग cervical vertebrae पर superimposed ना हो ।
Direction and centring of the x-ray beam
X-ray beam को 5-15 degree cranial angle दिया जाता हैं। जिससे कि symphysis mentioned ( ठुड्डी ) का निचला border occipital bone पर superimposed हो न कि cervical vertebrae पर beam के केंद्र को midline की तरफ thyroid cartilage के prominence के just तथा 5th cervical vertebrae से गुजारा जाता है।
