Position of patient and cassette
Patient को bucky table पर किसी भी एक तरफ लेटाया जाता हैं। coccyx को palpate करके bucky की midline में रखते है। भुजाओं को उठाकर हाथों को pillow पर रखते है। knee तथा hips को stability के लिए हल्का सा flexed करते है। trunk का dorsal aspect कैसेट से right angle पर होना चाहिए। इसका आकलन iliac crest या posterior superior iliac spines को palpate करके किया जाता हैं। map Bucky के समांतर होना चाहिए। cassette के centred को coccyx के level पर central ray के अनुरूप रखते है।

Central ray को sacrum के long axis के right angle पर स्पर्शनीय coccyx की तरफ निर्देशित करते है।
