Radiotherapy / रेडियोथेरेपी 

Radiotherapy disease ( primary tumor and malignant tumor ) के  treatment  के लिए use में लेते हैं। यह मुख्य रूप से cancer के treatment में use लेते है। radiotherapy के अंदर five energy particles or wave  जैसे कि x-ray , गामा  रे electron beam के द्वारा center को destroy or damage किया जाता है। 

Radiotherapy दो प्रकार से की जाती हैं।

1. Externally radiotherapy

इस प्रकार की radiotherapy में  radiation beam को  body के outside से दी जाती हैं। radiation source को patient से 80-150 cm दूर रखते है। इस प्रकार की radiotherapy में मुख्य रूप से telecobalt ,  linac का उपयोग किया जाता हैं।

2. Internal radiotherapy ( brachytherapy )

इस प्रकार की radiotherapy में radiation source को body के अंदर implement किया जाता हैं। और tumor के पास में रखा जाता हैं। 

यह तीन प्रकार की है-

A. Interactivity 

इसके अंदर radiation source  को body के अंदर रखा जाता हैं। 

Exa-: ractum or utrus  

B. Interstitial ( intra organ )

इसके अंदर source को directly soft tissue या tumor के पास रखा जाता हैं।

C. Surface mould 

इस प्रकार की radiotherapy में  source को tumor से कुछ दूरी पर रखते है। यह दूरी 0-5cm होती हैं। यह मुख्यतः skin cancer के उपचार के लिए उपयोग की जाती हैं।
